Sony WF-1000XM4

The Sony WF-1000XM4 is a pair of wireless earbuds made for audio playback and noise cancelation. The Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds are the successors to the popular Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds.

The earbuds come within their charging case and are available in two colors, black or white.

The top plastic surface of both earbuds is touch-sensitive and allows controlling noise cancelation related functionalities and audio playback.

This device has suffered some issues while in production :

• Some users reported hearing crackling noise while noise cancelation is active
• There have been reports of some earbud explosion with this device.

No recall was officially made by Sony concerning the battery explosions at the moment of writing this page (06/2023).
